For anyone who wants to say something....anything....not a rant...not a what made you laugh....just a random thought...please say it here....cheers x

I've just watched One Born Every Minute.....phew....and even though I'm glad my childbearing years are over, that programme makes me cry every time....I think its a mixture of seeing the miracle of life happening before your eyes and remembering the pain of childbirth.....bitter sweet memories....but theres nothing more positive than new life.

Hiya TC

The programme portrayed something that is prevelent today.A very lucrative business, a child trader can make over 2 billion pounds a year from it. Indeed it was a very sad programme, very well made. I felt very moved by it and sickened as to the depths some people go to for money!

It's been a while since I had a tax rebate Zell.....from memory I didn't have to wait too long a few weeks at most.
If it's been longer than that for you ,chase it up.

If it has happened more than a couple of times a chat with the Police might help, or at the least when it next happens call the Police.

I kept the police informed and the community psychiatric nurse but they don't want to deal with it as they can only do so much and can't change a persons behaviour. I just want this guy to get the help he needs but no one can really do anything to help another unless they want help. A friend has offered to come and stay so if/when it happens again they would answer the door to say I've moved. But not really practical as I can't predict the next event.

I'm really struggling to find a practical solution seems it's a tricky puzzle to solve. It's been going on for some time and just want it to stop, just thought I'd pick peops brains here cos I'm out of ideas. Och well, not to worry back to the light hearted banterings here hug thanks for your advice though

Is he purely bothering you by the door-knocking or is he hassling you in other ways as well. Of course you can tell me to mind my own if you want. Because if there are instances of nuisance behaviour it might be a case of the Police taking him into custody for his own and your protection and having his mental state assessed whilst in custody, but I don't know the Law really - just suggesting.

Ok here's a thought for you to change the subject..... Love can be given easily enough but can you receive love as I'm thinking it can only really be given. If you can receive it, how do you receive it? what do you think about it?

Hi Wow, it's a long story and don't wish to post all details here but I have no history with this person with regards to relationships or anything. Scottish law differs slightly, I can pay the courts to issue an interdict which keeps him a certain distance away but doesn't really solve anything once it's time limits up. Law bases everything on evidence and I don't really want the stress of all that, he's ill - not intentionally acting in a criminal way. Funny how society/civilisation has limited options that are not that helpful with regards to institutions.

Gratefully - because it doesn't happen (genuinely happen) that easily or that often!

I just mailed you, hope you don't mind.

I hear what you are saying but I am just philosophising over this one. I can receive a hug but is that is an expression of love is there a difference. I'm not saying I have an answer just being pondering about this one lately.
