An easy way to remedy for the end of fabrics is to use Iron ON ribbon like stuff . . It is placed between the fabric fold and You go over the fabric with a hot iron . It is in fact a heat sensitive adhesive which then melts and stick the fabric together . It is sold in every supermarket that I know of .

It depends on quality of the adhesive . It is used in textile industry extensively . Call at a fabric sales place and ask for advice . I have used some which will never give away .
