naturesbest: Don't worry Solsticemoon , we won't order a fatwah against you for taking the piss.
Excuse me but what exactly does "taking the piss" mean in the UK? In the US it means taking a leak nothing more.

Actractorguy: That statement/question is offensive to me. You're kids are grown they can do as they please. I still have a 10 year old to deal with. You need to let people raise their own the way they see fit. If I decide to have my kid wear a cross necklace then that's my prerogative. You don't like it so what. I was also trying to be respectful. I was discussing it until you came back with this.
Sometimes I can be stubborn but I don't foster what I believe or not on anyone else. Not my place to.

offensive?..you dont know me or my kids so how can you question the whys n wherefores and relate to age groups...slow down ther hoss, jumpin thru the hoops is easy, taking the time to ask why ur jumping is another matter!

solsticemoon: I admire people with em, truth be told, I wish I had the faith some folk have.
But.....I have to ask, why would you wear a cross around ur neck with a guy on it that was supposedly tortured n then died..I mean, put it into perspective, is that the kinda jewellry you'd want ur kids wearing?

Are your kids asking to get the hip hop kinda bling cross? I know that these seem to be popular with a certain group of kids hug

Why do you think that what you think is universal unified principle.

...jewelry....that is +....... with many meanings.

One you wrote according to your thought + many many million of reasons which you are unable to perceive and, write here.

A person who wear a cross is no way inferior than a person who dont wear this, and vice versa.

Animals do not wear the same.

robplum: I find it offence, to push completely flawed rubbish onto other peoples mind-streams displays a disregard towards the thoughts of others
they might think the same about your posts, constantly putting other religions down,in favor of some nebulous Concepts!laugh

exactly and well said
belief is as individual and beautiful as the stars in the sky
belief is not static
it is not a set of rules
rather it is the thinking of a life of faith
which God you choose is not so important as it is important to have that faith and love in ones heart for all living things no matter their beliefhug
