I don't think I have anything that would be considered a superstition.

I don't believe in superstitions. However, if I spill salt, I always toss some over my left shoulder. Salt was consider precious and pure and the devil who sat on your left shoulder was temporarily scared off by a pinch. uh oh

Maybe it's got something to do with that old adage 'There goes I but for the grace of God' laugh

I count magpies:
One for sorrow,
Two for Joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret that is never to be told.
Never found out what any of that meant though dunno

There's a lot of superstitions surrounding magpies. Thanks to the Normans for bringing them in. Apparently our urban bird population is declining because they're more rampant then ever. maybe we should start eating them again...

Hahaha have you ever wondered how the copious amounts of these ''all you can for 6 quid buffets'' afford to stay open.....i say go on the magpies!!

I also say that lil magpie riddle when i see one....if i see only 1, my head nearly comes off me shoulders until i see a second one for joy...Ooo also never put a brolly up indoors, not that me ceilings are leaking and ive ever felt the urge!! dunno
