Recently we are all aware of the break in the Daniel morconbe abduction case ,It made me wonder what has happened to the many other people including kids who dissapear each year in Australia,Google missing persons and have a look, maybe youve seen someone or know something, I was shocked to see so many faces ide seen on the news over the years still missing , never have been found , Its sad how easy it is to forget about them , it was Daniels parents vigilence to keep him in the public thoughts that has led to this mans arrest , refresh your memory, you may see a familiar face.

It is true kizzy, I am sure heard something on a new report that there are something like 35,000 go missing every year in Australia, could that be right?? Of that number some people would turn up, maybe teens had a row with mum, partners had a tiff, and some people just don't want to be found for whatever reason dunno

Not taking anything away from Daniel Morcombes parents, they have been incredible to keep bring this to our attention so much over the past eight years, but how did they manage to get so much of the police time? What made Daniel's disappearance different to any other case? As I said, not criticising his parents in any way or the police but just wondered how this family persevered so much and kept this case in the spotlight? Whatever they did - it worked to finally know where their son's body is, not what they wanted but maybe a relief of sorts? RIP Daniel.

His parents made the difference. I remember early in the piece his mother made a promise to whoever had taken him, that she would do everything in her power to make sure that they saw Daniels face everyday - that they would never forget her son ... and thats what she did. She put his face on trucks, on milk cartons, everywhere she could. (she's one brave lady, cause it must have ripped her heart out to see his picture every time)

Here in Queensland they've worked endlessly to educate children so that this will never happen to another family. Thats also helped keep the story in the public eye.

I'd say that they worked very hard in the background lobbying to get the coroners hearing thats turned up the new evidence, lets remember that the hearing has been 8 years in the making.

As Shortie said, I hope it is Daniel, and he can finally be laid to rest and his parents get closure, because if its not Daniel, then who is it? and why did they die there?
