Today is the 14th anniversary of the tragic death of Diana, Princess of Wales.

Whatever your thoughts are on royalty and monarchy, there is no denying that Diana Spencer brought a breath of fresh air into the stuffy royal circle, acted as a great ambassador for both Britain in general and the Royal Establishment and was a strong, caring women in her own right.

I didnt want to let this day go without a mention, and to say how much Britain lost the day she died.

RIP...sad flower

She was one of the few people that actually inspired me to do voluntary work to help the less fortunate.

She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and will be missed by us all.

I remember waking up and getting the paper on that Sunday morning and screaming! It was headlines of course here in California. I had no previous knowledge that she'd been in a car wreck as I don't watch the news, we always watched cable shows back then.

My daughter Mollie was born earlier that year in 1997, so now at 14. She knows the princes' but not how much their mother was in the spotlight. We watched the royal wedding this year together. She knows Princess Diana's sons very well.

Diana was the most photographed woman in the world, those many photographs will memorialize her, but we would trade them all to have her back!

heart wings
