Spock...What is your love affair with ubuntu (<---please don't mention wine)? There are other linux systems too.

Ladies, if you are happy with Bad Billy Boy Gate's windows, stick with it..(it isn't as bad as the press it recieves...)

Also Spock what about systems..Why don't you plug them too..Why not mention..opensue, mandrix, kubuntu...backtrack....debian...?

Unless you work for a marketing company that deals soley with one system...I don't get it...

I've lost all data back on Windows 98. Apple only adds incompatible closed source to Unix. So, anyone leaving M$ thinking will understand why I stick to Linux.
Dr. Phlox where is Enterprise heading?

Give me a laugh Spock how in the name of sweet Jesus did you manage to loose all your data on a Bad Billy Boy Gates system?

There are enough recovery tools to reclaim everything back..it will come up as sectors...(silly wee numbers). Even if you reformatted your HDD there is ways of getting back most if not all the data...And with ubuntu surely even you know how to get it all back...

So tell the world how you managed to loose lock, stock and two smokin'...

I had to wait for a special format utility from Dell! They told me that it was one of the very first "low level viruses" and all, I mean everything was lost!-
So I've looked around and found Suse 5.1 or so. Since, all my online stuff is done on Linux and not even one single problem since.-
Nowadays, I do everything on Linux and maybe boot Vista or Mac a couple of times per year. In fact, I only recompile stuff on propritary systems, I have no more use for them.
We shall see what we use in 10 years or so... what's Enterprise's heading?

Virtualbox is cool for testing without modifying your os. Currently I'm having a look at opensuse with Gnome3. Yesterday I installed suse as for nostalgic reasons....remembered using fvwm2....back in 1998. wine
