Nein, I do not think this is a "victory" - it`s all a political manouvre - for what reasons ...? .... Well, time will tell, I guess.People get voted into positions ... not for their brain power ..... but by some behind the scenes shenanigans .... and of course they enjoy all the perks their position brings them, but they really have no clue about running a country - and no real power to actually do anything about it ... they are all just pawns in a game.
And us the public are their little pawns that get shoved around.
But ..... if you can enjoy the sunshine, and each day ...well .... what else can one do?

Conrad,I really like your replies,they are funny and make me laugh...but I'm not a defeatist,I wrote this thread to all the people in EU that are so glad because the bad shape of America...I had noticed on this site the hate that some people from Europe feels toward America...so I decided to write something to double their happiness. dream,I agreed with you,this is a total disorder...but I wrote those words for the people that hate America...from a book I read I learned that there are 6 million people and countries wanting to hurt americans or america...it was my mind speaking out for those who hated us.It is more like a World disorder!

Why?
American people and USA government external policies are two things completely different.
I used to love USA and Americanos on to a certain blind folded way. My view had been biased because I have known in to “one to one way” only from Americans in the north.
Part of my job is to import some agricultural equipment and machinery for my clients and I had always considered USA as a supplier no matter what. I will continue doing so but I will consider other elements as well, that before I used not to. Needless to say that my client’s interests will always be first).
Being in CS has made me think that yet not all Americanos are the same which I knew but here I have had a good sample of it.
Btw you might need to check your numbers. 6 million?

I would never talk bad about my country to gain popularity or to please any one.
Yet I would recognize my countries mistakes and I would propose solutions to them or acknowledge that those problems are out of my capacity and/or expertise.

dream seems to me that I didn't express myself clear enough...I don't have double nationality,in Puerto Rico we are us citizen by birth,and I feel proud of being an american...I'm not unpatriotic,it just that getting tire of people around the world hating Americans,that's a reality,I'm not looking to be popular on this site...my thoery is that other countries started to hate us after WW2...America became as the #1 nation economically and militarily...about the 6 million,I read that info from a former CIA operative director.Why?

Well that's the thing.
In the globalist way of thinking "disorder" (for everybody else) is the goal.
It's the same old "divide and conquer strategy" but on a global scale.
They want all the nations to be totally dysfunctional.
Then they'll say,
"look, you're all worn out and exhausted and it seems like no matter what you do, things keep getting worse. So let us now take away all the things that divide you, nations, borders, religions, different currencies, etc. and let us (the globalist bankers) run the world as we know best."
When they take over the world will be cheering for all the promised hope and change.
But not for long.

I've lived in about 10 different countries around the world and traveled to a lot of others and I never found anywhere that the people actually "hate" americans. Everywhere I have been, the people were just as friendly and respectful as in America. There are, of course a few jerks anywhere you go, but America certainly has its share of those too.
Having said that, there are indeed a lot of people who don't like the American political system and its continual wars on poor nations. But people are smart enough to know that not everybody supports such evil.
So I wouldn't take it personally unless you are indeed one of those who supports such things.

Probably the same reason the Americans seldom admit that it was the French who defeated the English in the US revolutionary war.
At the battle of Yorktown (where Cornwallis surrendered) on the American side there were more French troops than Americans. The cannons were all French, most of the guns were French, the food and supplies were all French, and French ships blockaded the harbor preventing any supplies or reinforcements from reaching the British.
Cornwallis surrendered his sword, not to Washington or any American general, but to Lafayette.

Can’t tell for the rest of the world, but my impression is that in this very country no one would pay USA a second thought, if Americans weren’t moaning each fifteenth second that everybody hates them.
