Both my man and I love to explore various taste of (belgian) wafel. It is indeed sweet with variety of toppings however the wafel dough and texture are not the same from one café or resto to another. Today we tried one café in Antwerp which serves the best wafel I ever taste. Anybody has experience to enjoy delicious wafel somewhere (in Belgium) ... let me know, I may go to taste the wafel you recommend!
Anyone ever try a waffle maker? They are kind of a pain in the butt. Now I know why toaster waffles are so popular. I just tried a crepe maker. The batter I had would not stick to it. It's the kind that looks like a frying pan and gets dipped into the batter. So, then I went online and found the manual which comes with recipes. That means I'm limited to those recipes to use the crepe maker. Bah. And I have several books of real crepe recipes. Grrr. I also make them by heating up 2 frying pans at once. I cook one side and then flip it over into the other frying pan and start the next one.
