My maternal grandmother has been dead for approximately 30 years so I don't remember if she did or not.
My paternal grandmother who died about 13 years ago, I don't think they were.

its tradition here to pierce girls earlobe when they r really young so most of the females has it here.Mine were done when i was only 3 weeks old.....my granny has them too

I have no living grand parents but however I didn't peirce my ears until I was in my late 30s and it was my ex-boyfriend's 7 year old daughter that got me to do it.

My grandmother did not have her ears pierced not does my mother but I am a grandmother of an 18 year old and I have my ears pierced and want a very small tatto that means something personal to me.

My grandmother died in '58, and I can gaurentee that she had no piercings whatsoever.
