How ready are you to change your life? (55)

I was inspired by few other posts to publish this here....

Basically, we are all situated somewhere, but we all are looking for a partner.

Imagine that you find someone here.....but he/she lives in other country. You both communicate in English, you managed to meet few times, but if you want to stay together one of the two has to leave his/her life/job/friends/environment to follow the other, and probably to learn one more language. The other one, respectively, should accept him/her and to provide some relative stability until he/she adapts in the new country, etc....

What do you think about this? Is it........realistic?

I do not write about ''love'', ''true love'', ''real love'' etc on purpose - I think what most people understand as ''love'' disappears when the first difficulties start.

Why am I asking.......I can afford both situations, but just wonder...am I the only one crazy person here? Is it realistic?

It is realistic. I myself have heard of someone who has heard from someone else about someone who actually managed to move to another country in order to live together with their spouse.


But if we take the subject seriously… then yes, it’s realistic. The move would require a lot of efforts for both parts, but if they are willing to do this job properly, if they are really determined to make their best in every difficult situation, if they act as a team, it will work.

In my opinion the true "borders", "limits" or whatever on this subject,
exist in fact inside of us not outside and intuition is the only advisor able to help us with crossing them...but both people should be really ready to equally share responsibilities and sacrifices to make it realistic

I am surprised - most people here easily describe their idealistic dreams, hopes and understanding about LOVE, but when you ask them ''What would you do to achieve it''....they are quiet

I faced the similar situation - I mean relocating to a different country and it enriched my life in many ways positively but unfortunatelly negatively as well ... the proof- I am back and single...the step is great change in life and a great amount of luck is as well needed.

To achieve love? Well… in my life, love is an emotion that I feel to somebody or something. It comes from inside, whether I like it or not. Just happens that I suddenly feel it. No one’s fault.

And certainly no one’s achievement, not even mine.

Some would argue it's a comodity more expensive than gold...

There are many commodities more expensive than gold. Though, love isn’t a commodity for me. It’s a feeling. Different dimensions.

So what was your point?
