Listening to Adele led me to another artist that I really like though... her voice rocks. And she is quite the lyricist as well.

About 11 years ago, I let a girlfriend of mine borrow my camcorder.
She went to Sydney for the holidays and filmed the fireworks.

I forgot, you have already had New Years. We are just gearing up for it. I am baby sitting my granddaughter so my daughter and her room mates can go out. They have gone to a party.
I was very impressed when I saw the video she made. She was in the company of several dignitaries. It was on the water, much like the video my darling John has shared here.
Maybe you will get to go next year dear. Sorry you were working and missed it. Perhaps you can catch it on youtube?

That video I posted is from the festivities last night, so I did just watch it on YouTube. I probably could have turned the TV on at work last night and watched, but I was on the phone to someone at midnight. And to be honest, I would not have had it any other way.
Actually I was on the phone a lot last night and all day yesterday
My birthday is on New Years Eve and my friends and family call consistently throughout the day , which is really nice. You are babysitting? hmmm... I guess that might happen to me one day. Not before I get to Sydney for New Years I hope! I have spent numerous New Years in Phillip Island and Lakes Entrance, so I have been to lots of firework displays... I guess Sydney is the one that is considered ideal in the country. But yes, I will have to make plans to do it.
My work commitments run fairly high at Christmas... so I am used to working in the last couple of years.
