I used to work for a UK telecoms company (helpdesk) and you would not believe the number of people who happily gave up telephone account details, names, addresses, even bank details because the caller said they were calling from BT. Some people really do need to be protected from their own naivety.

i read in a swedish newpaper recently, an elderly person gave away about 60000 euro. She was writing for a while on the internet with someone then she got a letter that he died and had no relatives and all his money goes to her. So she paid in different fees and taxes and his debts during some time, had to take loans till she finally figured out in some way that it was a scam. the police said that they will investigate the matter but that's unlikely she will have her money back.------ This thread is Archived ------

That's the trouble with free dating sites, it doesn't cost them anything to try and as soon as their accounts are deleted they set up new ones. They hate me becasue I "lead them on" and pretend I believe them for a while, wasting their precious time. Only because I have nothing better to do.

I played with one today. Funny for a week he loved and was coming to marry me and then today his credit card wouldn't go through in NIGERIA~~imagine that!!! Only needed $300 usd and needed it to pay for his hotel LOL. Been there a month, must be a great one!!!!!
