lilibelle: In reality taking revenge only screws you up more in my opinion the best thing is to try to put it behind you and realise that sometimes it just wasn't your fault and the other person just wasn't happy with you so move on. Took me a while to see that though.

I agree, I don't understand the point of revenge.

It strikes me its a waste of energy and only serves to feed yourself with negativity, taking it longer to move on, if indeed you ever move on.

jac379: In fact, it rather pressurises people to mourn by societal expectation, rather than by a person's own needs.

That's the point I was trying to make Jac but obviously I didn't do it very well so that others would understand what I was saying. People will mourn longer then what they feel the need to because they know others will question it, especially when there is a death.

I think Rocky is asking if there is a respectable amount of time you shouldn't look for someone else. She did him wrong. He doesn't need to respect her as far as I'm concerned. Do what is comfortable for you Rocky and don't worry about "time", the world isn't going to end Dec. 2012.wine

I like that Monte. World keeps spinning, And I think you have a very good point about the mourning. If you are feeling up to it ( the OP ) breath in deep and live life with a clear mind and be good to yourself.
