anonymous1: This discussion went to a personal level.... when you tried to claim I said something which I never said.... and, refused to correct your false statement; but, that just proves how fallible you are.... not how fallible I am.
.

Childish.....grin cheers

marss: he had brothers and sisters too...and wasn't he married?

I think this is probably somewhat close to the truth given the archeological and cultural evidence of that time. It was an era in history of superhuman gods and perhaps these properties were ascribed to him to make him memorable in the minds of uneducated, illiterate, supersticious people, as mankind was then. peace

rohaan: I like you so well! One of the cornerstones of the philosophy of Jesus Christ was that He says we are ALL children of God. Even very educated and faithful Christians miss this point. (I don't think Jesus was nearly as self-righteous as some of the preachers I hear today). JMO. It is Thanksgiving Holiday here, Ali. Cheers to you!!

Here's some verses that sound similar to what you're saying...

PSA 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.

ISA 63:16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD,art our father, our redeemer; thy name is from everlasting.

Good point... here's some obscure verses talking about Moses praying to a priest of Midian.

Notice how this Midian priest is being kissed, obeyed, and prayed to, by Moses.

EXO 3:1 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb.

Moses kissed the priest of Midian, and did obeisance to him.

EXO 18:7 And Moses went out to meet his father in law, and did obeisance, and kissed him; and they asked each other of their welfare; and they came into the tent.

It was the Priest of Midian who told Moses to give the children of Israel commandments...

EXO 18:17 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.
18 Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.
19 Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee:
EXO 18:24 So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

Moses prayed for the priest of Midian not to leave them alone with God.

NUM 10:29 And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.
30 And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.
31 And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.

patmac: Glad you got the point. Unlike another who cannot see it and drags the discussion down to a personal level.

Like I stated ALL men are fallible and that is why the holy books written by MEN are also fallible.

I would like to see anyone disprove this point....
Esther was written by a woman.....

j_goose89:
As for the "Historians", this is a tired argument. Josephus was born AFTER Jesus' supposed life time, and the sections in "Antiquities" was a proven forgery by a scribe of Esubius.

NONE.....let me repeat....NONE of the mentioned historians were eyewitnesses to a "Jesus" in the first century. There is NO contemporary account of the life and times of Jesus Christ.

There were gospels of his disciples like Mark and Luke etc. They were there.

arman81: I have read the Bible and i got some questions............
1. If Jesus was God, Why did he use to pray? pray to ownself??
2. Jesus, Adam, Abraham and few others were mentioned as the son of God in Biblical language. why the christans only follow Jesus and not others?
3. there is not a single verse in the complete bible where Jesus himself said "i m God or worship me". then why jesus is considered as God?
4. trinity is another word never mentioned in the bible. and not a single verse supports the idea of trinity. then why this trinity?

i have many additional questions and would welcome helpful discussion. my post is for discussion, not to fight.

The reason you can not understand all this is your mind is closed, like an atheists mind, you need to have the holy spirit reveal to you it is true, at this time you are closed and I dont even believe you came up with these questions yourself, you copied them, your mind is afraid that Jesus is God. If you admit that according to Islam you must die.

The Church assigned the names to the Gospels.

Look up Pseudopiegraphical.

So we still have no eye witnesses.

All is God, all is allah. The Creator is experiencing itself through creation, meaning all things, including space is the creator.
Jesus is god, so are you, so am i, so is your computer, so is your chair. everything is the creator. praise the creator.
jesus prayed cause he was like you and me, we all know that being human connects us to the aspect of the creator that is not overtly discriminating by human perspective.
wise choice to seek counsel from an unbiased and all knowledgeable friend.
the trinity- your body- your consciousness and your creator essence.
all of us have the trinity.
the secret is to not focus on our differences but to celebrate our sameness- we have been created by the creator- praise the creator.

What Trinity?
The Trinity is a construct in order not to violate the First Commandment!
