which statement is more acceptable for Ladies

1) should it be the men duty to go, do work and earn money and ladies should stay at home to taking care of their children and some other house matters?

OR

2) Ladies should do all the work like men and then its also their duty to see all the childrens and house matters as well

OR

Both the husband and the wife share in all responsibilities in and out of the home.

You can dispose of the word "duty" all together!

Neither option one or two. As a single Mommy who supports my child all by myself, I would like to meet someone with no preconceived notions of "duty." I certainly don't need someone to "pay my way" but would like someone to hold my hand and watch a good movie with me. I think both should work, and both should be there for each other in any other aspect needed.

MUCH better.

or...the husband can stay at home and do all that chit.

i think...the dynamic should depend upon what both parties agree to. if you find a woman that's happy staying home, more power to you. but i am not sure it's fair...that you would STILL expect her to do all of the house and kid stuff...even if she were working out of the home.

you come from dublin i see, people from there usually live in the same world as me, your questions, for the ladies will get you one response, that is of course some unfortunate female living in a cave happens to see this thread and decides to respond, what is a duty in dublin for a woman? i would say it was the same duty as a woman in london/chicago, someone said duty was what? there is no duty, this is the 21st centruy or the 22nd i have lost track with all the nonsense i see on here amongst other places, you show an emotion looking confused/bemused why is this? the women here will give you one answer only and that is the above statement from you is a load of tosh, wake up step out your cave, women are and always have been independant and free thinking enough to know that duty is something you sighn up for when you join the milatry, and besides a lot of women are very succesfull in what they do they have children, some dont have a partner yet they are well capable of something-it is called to multi task...drinking

Thank you very much. It is very refreshing to see a man stick up for women. I'm a single mom, having to live with my sister, and I'm in college trying to get an associate degree in Sign language. I don't need a man....I tune up my own car, change the oil and winterize my boat engine...etc. I WANT someone in my life and I would expect each of us to give our fair share when it comes to work, kids, home, etc. I love being a "team"....that's what keeps it interesting and fun. banana cheers
