Why then on the sign up page of the group of happy, smiley people is there only one...a man....who could possibly be in this age range?
Perhaps I´m wrong, and the older members are only those who frequent the forums.

yes, I think the forum regulars are in the 50 bracket, but lots of younger people, god knows I get enough mail from young guys....they think we older women are Mrs Robinson

Statistics on this site are really hard to come by, so I was forced to look at only the new members to get these statistics. If new members represent the approximate breakdown for the CS population as a whole, then here is how it breaks down:
New Members (men and women combined): 14,064
Of these, 4,233 (30.0%) are women, and 9,289 (66.0%) are men
306 of these women (2.17%) are looking for women
282 (2.0%) of men are looking for men
Thus, the available women are 3,927 (92.3%) of all women on CS
Available men then become 9,007 (96.9%) if all men on CS
I'll need to do more research to get the average age. Looking at the statistics, the women have much more variety in men, since there's about twice as many men as women. For men, however, the available women are far fewer, so it seems there should be a lot of competition among men for the available ladies.
