For what it's worth to you (or anyone), after repairing PC's for over 30 years, I personally switched mine to Mac, (10 years ago)and haven't looked back since!

Also, during this time of 10 years, haven't used any antivirus sw...have had the need to...and as for as surfing the Net...I'm sure I have to to the end, and back...safely.

I read these threads about PC's (with Microsoft Windows), and I just shake my head back and forth...thinking of when I was like you too.

Sure there are software for Mac's for possible viruses...maybe I have just been lucky, but I have never got any issues that you people are describing. Maybe when you get tired of the same old thing over and over, you'll switch to a different system, than Microsoft...and it don't have to be Mac...there are tons of others.

OK, I gave my opinion... Hope you find what your looking for, for your PC.

NOTE: HEY Healthy Living...long time no see, hope you're doing well.wave

Have a great weekend...

If it is something to tide you over until you can buy one, Norton offers a 30 day free trial for their products. I used the Norton 360 trial on a test basis and I really liked it, just not the price at that time. McAfee is OK, but my preference is Norton from the research I did.

I've use Spyware Doctor for years and no problems except the one time I overruled the program and upgraded Firefox when warned. Otherwise.....perfect.
