venusenvy: Ro, Honestly, there is no right or wrong approach. We are the pioneer gen out there defining online dating. Really, we are creating it as we go.

Myself, I dont respond if there is no interest on my part. Ive learned this lesson the hard way. There was a time when I would make the effort to write back... even if just a polite no thank-you. What a mistake that turned out to be! A lot of men took this as false hope. I would get hounded for an explanation or even worse, reponded too with abusive behavior. It actually got kinda overwhelming.

Now I know, If Im not interested, I dont respond. It saves time and feelings for both parties. All's fair in love and Im enjoying peace and my time here.

Exactly my point..well written V.thumbs up

YouMeUs: Really?
Guess I need to upgrade my version of CS to the one you have!

Unless they've written less than a paragraph or two, I always get a partial profile listed on the right side, with a "read more" link.

You've answered your own query there.

Click on the 'Read More' link, and their profile text appears. It still doesn't take you away from the 'mail reply' page.

RayfromUSA: I think most people have some degree of selectivity and preference about exactly who they want to connect with.

No response IS a response.

In fact it's about the most graceful way I can imagine to express lack of interest.

I agree Ray handshake
