I never eat McDonalds, Burger King etc etc rubbish, and after reading this article I´m very glad I didn´t jump on to the fast food bandwagon.

More disturbing though is the fact that a prime "ingredient" of this "delicious" piece of no se que, is actually banned in Europe and Australia. This is the second time I´ve read about banned food substances/additives being readily available in America. The other incidence was a thread made by another member here quite recently, but I can´t remember what it was about now, nor the poster, sorry.

Aren´t you Americans just a tad worried about what you are eating?

Oh and I put this thread in the food and drink category....tongue in cheek of course! laugh

Not to worry your pretty little head, because I don't eat at McDucks. Haven't for a very long time. Even their salads aren't up to par with Burger King salads, and salads are all I order at restaurats anymore. How much can they do to ruin a salad? That article was enlightening, frightening, and every other ing imaginable. So our good old American government is not interested in protecting its citizens? Well, well, well. Imagine that. The almighty dollar strikes again, at the expense of the health of Americans. In San Fransisco, they passed a Happy Meal law that children's meals had to be healthy. Guess what happened? All McDonald's restaurants in the city limits of San Fransisco stopped serving kids meals or shut down altogether. No wonder obesity is an epidemic in America! Maybe I should move to Australia, huh? Put another steak on the barby, mate. Daddy's coming home! rolling on the floor laughing

Jan - do you wear lipstick? If you so, do you know that it's made with gasoline. Bagged lettuce is washed with arsenic. Insectisides are used on farm vegetables and fruit. You have just about scrub off the outside layer to get rid of the poison. I could go on but it's not worth it because if a person is healthy, they can stave off these "poisons". As long as it doesn't taste like a rubber mat, I'll eat it.....although I don't eat McRibs but I sure do like McDonalds french fries..teddybear

"McDucks" laugh

Well at least you have the good sense not to risk your health eating any of the vile "meat" they supposedly serve.

I´m just surprised by the fact that the food and health standards in the USA are apparently not so stringent as they are in Europe.

Yes, I´ve been told that it tastes different in every country. I suppose it´s due to adapting the crap to national tastes.

Mmmmmmmmm. Yoga mats. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh. And they're vegetarian.

I like their little sundaes, fries, apple pies, rollups, yoga mats and their breakfasts (without meat). I can't stand their coffee. It tastes like chemical slurry. Bleech.
