Chrisys: For some time now, I estimate what I would have spent on gifts both from my company to clients and personally to friends and relations.
This money is then sent to a Childrens Hospice.
With the government cuts and parents often short of money due to their childs illness, due to costs of travel and care etc, I think this in a small way just makes me gratefull for so many happy Christmas memories, something these children will not be having much longer.

I was contemplating giving the money to an Animal Shelter ... but then worked out that what I spend on Christmas gifts is so little it would not be worth their paperwork!
Everyone gets just a small token gift, from me. I do not believe in huge cluttery gifts at Christmas time. When I know what a person is wanting and I find it anytime in the year I present them with that gift. But not at Christmas time - this is just a time for family gatherings and appreciation of each other.

Yeah, me too!I had to do the Christmas thing when I had little kids ....... cause all the little kids expect something special at that time.
But now that I`m grown up - sort-of - I try to stay out of it all.
One nice thing about being a Granny is that .... ahem ..... we make things for people.
