I prefer to date slightly older to slightly younger, but if I found someone attractive who is more (but not too much) older or younger, I would likely give them a chance.
Women seem to be more accepting of older men, especially in interracial situations. Lots of beautiful young Asian women are with heavyset, older and over the hill Americans. It may seem gross to us but they obviously overcame the age difference and are together. That is not to single out any race or situation, just best example I can think of.
If he/she is worth it, go for it and see if love can overcome distance, age, race, religion, or whatever difference the two people have.

my daughter in law is Thai....I'm sure my son would to know he is old, heavyset and over the hill
he's 27 and plays in regular indoor soccer league.....over the hill? well maybe as the crow flies geographically, but that's all

not all older women are going to go for younger guys. You will have to find someone else - you can't make her like you
and be careful because you are leaning dangerously close to a man who sounds like he is frustrated because he can't control a woman and that's a red flag...
