UPDATE on the case of the father who threw his daughter into the river.

Morgan, the father who threw his daughter into the river, was interviewed by detectives. He told them that he tied a car jack to his daughter's car seat to make sure she would sink.

He also said she was alive when he threw her into the river. New Jersey no longer has the death penalty so the most he can get is life without parole.

Even if someone has conditioned themselves to all the bad news we hear these days, this one has sent me into a spin. I read it last night and when I went to bed I couldn't get it off my mind. A two year old girl knows how to think and feel emotion. I'm trying to put myself in her place for what she was thinking when she realized that her father threw her into the river.very mad

The only way this low life will survive in prison is to spend the rest of his life in isolation from other prisoners.

Exactly Ooby but what galls me is the taxpayers indirectly pay for his residency. He will have it better in prison getting medical and dental attention, a library, computer, hot meals, hot shower, haircut, gym, etc...frustrated frustrated

This two year old little girl has left a record of her life and death.
RIP
Will they blame unemployment, divorce or alcohol?
The father, alone, is to blame!
Montecito, I am not deep enough to try, to think, what she was thinking, it's to dark for me.
Many children suffer life and death.

They are already blaming it on his childhood. He did it because he hated the mother and wanted to hurt her. How else do you hurt a mother then to kill her child.sigh

No sense of remorse whatsoever. He wears the same smirk as my son-in-law who removed his daughter from the car in her carseat, left her sitting on the side of the road and drove off. Of course my daughter got out of the car and ran to her daughters rescue. They had to walk back into town.

Just makes you sick!!barf

No Happy, Jeffrey was taken care of by the prisoners a long time ago.

I believe that a person should be punished the same way they committed the crime.

It has nothing to do with the country MUD. It's all about people and their lack of responsibility, self-control and compassion. People are being tried and tested now after losing jobs, homes in foreclosure. Their level of patience is no longer. It's a me..me..me world now with no consideration for anyone else.

Aaah, an eye for and eye, according to the great holy books.

Who will do the punishing and what will their punishment be for commiting the same crime and who will punish them and what will their punishment be and who will punish them and what will their...?

(Repeat until we destroy ourselves).

So tell me Jac, do you think he should be sent to prison for the rest of his life?

My wanting him to die the same way he killed his daughter has nothing to do with "the great holy books".

You are right that those who kill him will also have to be punished and that is what, I am just venting, because he isn't worth me wasting my life in prison.

I don't know whether he should go to jail with no possiblity of parole. I'm not his judge and jury and I don't know the details of the case. Nobody knows the details of this case as yet as its still in the early stages of investigation. It takes more than a couple of media reports to make a decision, thankfully.

I do know, however, that there's a war going on, y'know that thing where people murder each other. One of the ways that the "goodies" justify their murders is by saying that the "baddies" follow the principle set out in their holy book that is "an eye for an eye". The "goodies" are outraged by the cruelty of the "baddies", but in the next breath will advocate the same cruelties themselves.

I find this all a little confusing.

Hostility breeds hostility, violence begets violence. At some point we need to break the cycle and make an attempt at healing our sick societies, not actively promote that sickness.

The question should be, how do we inhibit this sort of thing happening to other little girls? How can we learn from this awful murder to keep other children safe? Not, how are we going to hurt him back just as bad?

If looking at someone's childhood, their life, their psyche, whatever, gives us an idea about what went so terribly wrong that a crime such as this could be commited, then why not look? I suspect its because we might find some very ugly truths about how our society works and our own contribution to, or participation in it.

This is quite Disturbing to me, Especially after I had a Brother Murdered in New Orleans in 1980,as a Taxi driver, It turned very Sour,
and I was Stalked and threatened by his Killers...It turned into a 20 Year Murder case, such as th OJ case, It ended in 1999, I share this just so you know I can relate...sigh

Far Worst than this, I recently talked a Woman on a dating site,
who explained to me that her Husband Murdered her two Children,7 and 8, and said do you still want to talk???
I wrote her back and explained of what I had faced, and said I WOULD like to talk, so we exchanged some mails and even some phone calls,
I didnt realize who she was until later and I had seen the whole story unfold on television, Here in Kansas City, it was on every news for years...

The Man Kidnapped his two children during a Divorice and picked them up for the weekend, and they went missing for 3 years, he was arrested for kidnapping and given 38 years, After 3 years the Bodys were recovered, and then He was charged with Murder, they had both been shotblues sad flower

then the publicity and Murder trial took place and it was even on the Dr phil show.... It was one of the worst cases that I can recall, the wierd thing is I had recently spoken to her on the phone, and then she just stopped contact....
I could not Immagine what this woman faced,
I wont give any more details here, but if I have known you for a good while on the forums, and you want to read about it, their are NUMEROUS sites that cover this story, I will only share this by personal mail, and if I know You!!!
If You want to know more, write me, and I will share the contents and site so you can read this story....This Case is one of the reasons that the Amber alert was so strictly enforced!

The wierd thing I met her by accident on a dating sitesad flower
My Body Trembeled for 2 Days after talking to her...

All the proceeds from this the mother didnt want, so She built a Memorial Playground for Kids in the KC area...

If you choose to read this story, make sure you have tough Guts!sad flower

Surely alcohol and drugs were involved. An eye for an eye and tooth for tooth in this case.
