Couldn't help thinking it might be something along the lines of what Faithe suggested, a difficult procedure being perceived as cruelty.

How could anyone involved with the RSPCA be responsible for animal cruelty, it doesn't make any sense


I doubt that really , other vets there wouldn't allow that to happen and vets are in that field of work because of the love of animals I have dealt with horse vets for many years and have never met one that is cruel maybe inexperienced just starting out.

It's come right of the blue, but I know the signs and got him to the vet this morning.

It's tricky stuff and only 50% of dogs get a good result out of the initial surgery, a good result being 12 months without a re-occurence of the hernia.

Hard to say, this is the third op he's had for this condition in the last two years.

The vet is hopeful thumbs up

He already has a retaining wall in there laugh

And yeah, he's a tough little guy, he's running around barking and taking care of business as we speak roll eyes laugh
