NAKEDMUDPEOPLE: As a single mother myself, my daughter was always first and she never knew the men I dated. The men I dated were bachelors and had no children.
Pro's and Con's for Mom or the children, or both?

Mother Pro's
Financial help.
Man to help with the home.
Sharing the responsibilities of the families.
A happy woman.

Mothers Con's
No drama in the house with new mate.
No mixing of families, making a child feel lesser after the divorce.
Work's harder to provide for children.
Little time to spend with children because of work.
Renting instead of buying, because of home repairs.

Child's pro's
Filling the gap after father is gone.
Someone to make mom happy.
Someone to share the bills and house hold duties with.

Child's Con's
Sharing a home with new family, it's all about personal space.
Disagreements with the new family members and taking sides.
Feeling left out because of new family children.
Less attention for your children because of the new family.

I know these experiences will give gifts to the children's lives
but lessons are for those that need them at their own time not ours.

The reason for a bachelor was for my convenience.
I dated two and we are still friends to this day.

I am, was and will always be a single parent.
It was my job to teach my child how to live on her own.
She had a safe, happy home where she could be herself.
My work ethic taught her to be independent, prepared and ready to do anything she wanted to do in her life.
