Hello Tony.....wave

I doubt that you are doing anything wrong, but I just checked your age and to be honest, I would not be too keen on a guy my age with such a young child.

Don't take me wrong, all credit to you for being a single parent, I bought up my two from the ages of 4 and 6 alone. But a guy would have to be very special to contemplate taking on young children with.

It may be the "been there done that" thing, but of course that's just my guess.

There are bound to be women who would be more than happy to take up with you.

good luck...

I don't know how long you have been on dating sites, but they are sure to be people who will worry about your young son, as simonsmum says, maybe your looking at the wrong age group. Don't give up.

i think perhaps siren has a point. those of us who've raised our kids, some of us as single parents ourselves, may've ended up w/the major burden becuz of gender expectations & are glad for the reprieve, so to speak.

personally, ive never minded the guy having kids. sorta like what i'd imagine grandkids to be like -- fun to be around but not my responsibility. you can enjoy them & leave all the hard decisions to their dad!

there are so many varieties of people, there'll be women who wont mind. you may have to go younger, you may have to simply be patient. as you say, the little guy's the most important factor here. he wont be 7 forever!

Another thought, maybe if you added to your profile that you are a single parent of a seven year old, you would avoid wasting time talking to any of us who have the t-shirt!...laugh devil

Take a little more time choosing your women and you will increase your chances , decrease your disappointment and feel better . Many women are having their first child at around 40 . I have met a couple of very nice girls near where you live looking for a person like you .
Being here gives you an opportunity to improve yourself by example . Take it and find someone near you who wants you for what you are .

I am not sure if you have tried sites for single parents . There are a couple of local sites for single parents but neither are free . Depending on the age of your child , you can take part in many parent and child activities organised around your place .. You can improve your chances by becoming socially more visible .
