rohaan: I do agree that some phrases are over-used, and certainly dated. Like, women who say, "Hey, Dude....", my personal dislike is guys who call me "buddy". So, it's not like I don't "get" the gist of this thread. It just seems that there are so many other things in life that are worse than being called 'dear', that's all I'm saying.


I agree but mostly as Venus says; the Hello Dear is coming from the scammers. Whatever happened to just saying Hello?
