Straightdown: If it was a lie I would not be happy...If this happened he deserves his name published....Again I am taking her at her word...and if this diod happen you or I have no right to tell her she can't warn others. Until you can prove to me she is telling porkies then I will stand by her right to warn other women.

Can you explain to me how the OP has warned other women on CS about this man?
She has mentioned two names but not a USERNAME.
What was the point of her giving someones real name/names?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing! She should have just used the username, that way she wouldn't have run the possible risk of legal proceedings.

Godsgift: I understand this thread perfectly. I invited a well known member to stay over during a Clare meet and she stole sausage bacon and eggs in the morning!

Good god what an outrage! That's an issue for all of us, we should be told!blues

Its a good point Tallandcute makes as it would have more effect if the username was used, but legal proceedings can stll happen even if its only a username thats quoted because of traceability Snowy. It has happened before.

Hope your well wave

but that flys in the face of innocent until proven guilty, when she has a conviction she can name him, but i see anger in her op which makes me think there is more to the story, ok so let's presume for a minute that she is telling the thruth and her intentions are to warn other's, why not put up a thread outlining what has happened her and then state at the end that anyone that wants more info on him mail her in private, to me that would be the actions of someone genuine and someone who wanted to warn others this looks like revenge and becuase of how she is acting that revenge could as easily be for another reason

I think she said he's not on this site and the names she gave she thinks they're fake anyway....i suppose by giving the names it highlights them so if he tries to use them again then people will knowconversing

Who said this was a court of law??? If he robbed her and she knows her robbed her then thats all the evidence she needs...She can post what she wants about him....By your rules she would have to submit evidence before warning other women???

And if she said to go private how many women would think its a guy they like????? If a woman likes a guy she would not think he could do that so she would not bother private mailing her? But giving the alies e mails he used and cover story may ring a bell and help some other woman not find herself in that situation.

Speaking from personal experience a thread like this can only end in tears. I tried to highlight a far more serious case than this last year and ended up with a 3 month ban....

well by the rules of the site she can't as you have found out many times with your own bannings from here i doubt if like her you had a pic up you would never have been half as brave, for her own good i would suggest the legal route first, then say what she wants about him, as this case comes from a meeting online it's quite possible that this could be checked and she could leave herself open to litigation or atleast discredit herself

look as you said he gave two different names, that to most people would be enough to warn them off but yet you let him stay at your house without knowing his identity, im sorry it just sounds unbelievable to me
