I went this morning to log on to website that I use on and off (no not a dirty) for this to appear

401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.


Just thought it was a problem with the website till I went to log on to another page I use daily and same message


help help do i have a virus or something

It seems like an authentication mode issue and yours maybe set to Windows. Perhaps try changing it to forms and it should work, not sure if that makes sense to you but it's all I can offer as I'm rushing out the door.

always used firefox for every site so i dont know

I have the answer annie, cancel those jimmy choo shoes and the guest hand bag you are saving for and treat yourself to a new laptop, go for an i-7 quad core with 700GB and 6 mb ram, that should sort out the issue, hope this helps

Internet explorer sucks laugh

I delete it from any computers I work on and install firefox thumbs up

firefox is just better thumbs up

This error can appear when the wrong ID or Password is entered.If the pages are bookmarked and then loaded from the bookmark itself the credentilas may not validate for you.A slight change in the web address can cause this also.The site itself may also be experiencing some problems.

Check your log on details for the websites-do you have to renew them etc..

Type the web address into the address bar instead of a link or bookmark.

Try alternative browsers to see if they all have the same issue.

Definitely no harm in running a virus test as well.

did a virus scan and seems to be fine

seems to be ok now for one of the sites not the other but i can get into it if i google it first so dont know

When you google it, it will replace the original bookmark and ahouls be fine.

This is a handy program for cleaning the cache, tmp and junk files off your system
