Hi Tomwave

I try to keep out of political threads as they almost always end up in a cat fight.boxing

From a personal point of view, I think that in this day and age of financial unrest, we all need each other.

We are too small individually to stand firm on our own and should all pull together instead of going back in the past. These are modern times and history obviously has a place in all our heritages good, bad, or indifferent, but we have to move forward and hopefully together.j.m.o.

Hey Tomcats
It's been on News for a couple of days now
I think it would be interesting, might mean I'd get duel nationality,
due to my farther being Scottish and my Mother being Irish,
And them giving me a double barrel name on me birth, certificate
I have my mothers maiden name after my first names and have 2 of them,
then I have my Surname.
So I might get a Scottish passport as well as keeping me English one?
laugh laugh laugh

Well...politics is my pet-hate, but I must admit that I am not in favour of Scottish Independance. Like other people have said, together we are a much stronger country. When this all came up a few years ago I didn't know any Scottish folks that were in favour of it either
dunno

Wee Eck is an egotistical maniac who only want to be remembered. Let him give us the facts and figures first without the rhetoric.

The fact that both your parents were born in different countries means you already have dual nationality...You don't an English passport but a British one..

As far as I'm aware the euro wont be the currency of Scotland but and monies will be linked into sterling..I agree the euro is monopoly money basically worthless..

I'm with the Mayor of Doncaster on this one - I think a lot of us would like our area to be merged into a greater Scotland - there'll be a little bit around London (lets call it Camercleggia for the moment) which will be left as England

Not sure, but Im sure the rest of the UK would offload a large slice of the national debt onto us before we even start to count the cost of becoming independent.....and Alex Salmond says we would all be £500 a year better off on our own...in yer dreams Alex!! very mad
