Go v.e.r.y SLOWLY! Don't ask for commitment. Just ask for the next date, and the next phone call. Be reliable, be secure and strong. Commitment happens when no-one is looking. You can't force it! So stop panicking and just enjoy what you have.

Sorry can't help you.......99.9% of all the men I dated in the past 10 years or so have been commitment phobes. All over you initially and talking of wanting a relationship or commitment, then do the usual 180 deg RUN the other way!

If she's really just "scared" then love and patience will win out in time. But if that's not really the problem you may be wasting both your time and hers.
A little direct frank communication about the situation might save you a lot of heartache.
Tell her how you feel about the situation and ask her how she feels.

Maybe you could try listening to why they are scared of commitment..if its because they have previously been in a bad or abusive relationship you may need to just be patient and not pushy and let them realise that they love and need you as much as you do them...
