We hear it, we say it and we see it everywhere, where dating is brought up, like on this site, or in other settings.
As far as I can take it - "It's not about the looks" doesn't refer to facial features, or body shape, but comparison. Without comparison, we'd all be pretty cool, without going into it.
If we shouldn't compare at any level which disobey every invented norm and standard.
Not theoretically, but actually - could anyone go through with it?

What does your word theoretically mean ?
I do mean it in its broadest sense, cross looks, habits, values, virtues, I could possibly bring in gender and age in danger of being hypocritical if I left them out.
And wouldn't it be hypocritical to think that our looks does not matter, but we still measure and compare on almost every possible area that is "known" to us, and propagandist to say what we don't mean?

Well yeah, there's as if there is a certain impossibility to it.

Go through with what? Not compare? How can you switch that application off? When everyone is cool, how do I chose? I would say 'yes' to each and every man then!
