Nothing wrong with self defence. I said that I hit back. I have never in my life been the first to hit someone, male or female.
Some women seem to think that being born female gives them a free pass to use men as punching bags. I do not share that view. If a woman hits a man, she is declaring herself to be on an equal footing, so has no right to complain about what follows after she initiated the violence.

hi carl,
i'm just following this from the sidelines...
Would you please clarify something for me?

are you speaking here, regarding your tournament fighting,
or are you supporting domestic violence?

and if it is the latter, why would you hit someone rather than restrain them..afterall...with what you have told us about your martial arts experience...and most men being larger than most
why would you choose violence?

CarlitaP: Wow, I'm new to the threads.
Does this happens ALL the TIME??

Please let me know so I won't comment on something irrational and negative.

No, it's not all the time, but it does happen all too often.sigh

Don't let it deter you from posting though.

rider4u: I agree wholeheartedly

It may be ok for some but usually somebody is going to get hurt and the "friendship" has changed forever.

Ah another wise man that totally gets it. thumbs up

hiya Carlita and welcome!
does it happen all the time...laugh laugh laugh

no....
but it does happen..
but please don't let it keep you from speaking your mind.
the forums are an excellent way to meet folks and also let folks know who you are.
but the pot does get stirred up at times...

i can only speak for myself...and my experiences in the forums
have been for the most part, really interesting, with good natured fun.
i've made some friends, and i have learned a lot. and that keeps me coming back.

Well, to clarify, there had already been an established relationship that soured. Friends with benefits was suggested. As hurt as I was over ending the relationship, I'm worried about maintaining a "friends with benefits". For me there is still real emotion.
