the thought does sound good, but i can see where people would be shy or not know what to say etc. Look how hard it is to describe yourself in your profile!

there was a thread using vocaroo where people recorded their voices but no vids that i know of.

I think what make it hard is that we are asked to write a certain amount of characters.. like 50 characters..

I think posting a video of yourself at a party or out with friends, or something may be vetter that sitting in a chair with the camera on you looking like you are announcing a version of the twilght zone (which was a good series by the way) any takers?

actually,i'd be much more comfortable in front of video camera, it's more natural.
staring still and taking a photo freaks me out. which must be obvious on my profile photo, it's got the same rating as fluffy yellow caterpillar
but i have no idea how would i make such a video with a skype camera?
not even the vocaroo voice recording thing worked for me

I had never been on a site like this or even talked in a chat room. And it shocked me Don't know why now But if I had known you were flashing I would not of turned my im off after that. I would of waited patiently in hopes you would one day be there
