Ron Paul is not a backroom deal maker and neither he or his son Rand would ever agree to such an absurd deal.
Ron and Rand are strict Constitutionist.
Romney is not. They will not compromise their beliefs. It would be like selling your soul to the devil.
Besides, Ron Paul knows he CAN win if he gets the delegates and that is what he is going for, the 1,144 delegates.

If Republicans don’t want Mitt but still want to beat Obama, Ron is their best practical bet. I found the words used in this Christian Science Monitor report about this latest poll to be some of the most amusing:
