Why I agreed with with the statement is that eebee needs to watch out for the scammers and also she stated she was feeling lonely and it is best to get out and meet some people so that she wouldn't feel lonely. I get lonely too, so having some friends close by does help.

Scammers are all over the site but the ggod thing abouyt the forums is they tend to get found out
The forums really helped me thru a very tough time and there are people here for all sorts of reasons, not just to meet someone. Am glad your experience has been a positive one so far.

Maybe you need to take some time to get your mind and spirit in order before dating again. In the meantime, make friends and connect - you'll be able to talk about your experiences and filter your emotions - you need that right now.

I'm no spring chicken and I have been contacted by obvious scammers already. Easy to pick out. One of the easiest way (I think) is to see how bad they write English, no punctuation, no capital letters, sudden changes of the way of writing.. I have participated in busting Nigerian 419 scammers and I have some insight :)
In my profile I don't use the word "desperate" even though in some lonely evenings I do feel like that AND also I'd like to get my void filled every now and then :D My virginity is growing back.
Last night I decided that I really need to start gathering up the pieces of me and go out - there's some lovely Irish pubs downtown. I feel awkward to go alone but hey, whatever.

Not sure why being "new" is being used against me, I'm simply giving the woman some advice as of what my experience has been
There is a lot more to the forums than what you read. There are many people here who come and go and I have always found it a good way of meeting like minded people. We reap what we sow. Also if your posting here it attracts others who dont post as you are showing yourself off as to who you are. You dont get that from reading the forums. But as you say your mind is already made up so I'm not here to convince you otherwise. And the fact that you are new is not being held against you by me. Its always good to see new people posting. Either way Welcome and good luck with it.
