I could tell you some stories from inside nascar to show just how corrupt an organization it is. The organizers of nascar are interested in one thing and one thing only, MONEY! They couldn't care less about racing.

I have never understood the appeal to Americans of any form of motorsport that involved cars racing in circles around a small track.
I like touring car racing (not sure it is conducted anywhere else in the world other than Australia) on street circuits; and the Indy event we used to have here on a street circuit.
Not sure about Formula 1. Bans on various technologies have put F1 in a state of arrested development that I believe will kill it in time.
The same thing has happened to touring car racing here. The V8s were being flogged by turbocharged fours and and sixes, so they changed the rules so that only naturally aspirated V8 cars of two designs could race. The series has been dying a slow death since that time. I no longer even bother to watch. Now it is Tweedle Dumb racing against Tweedle Dumber. Boring. Boring. Boring.
