To, Too, and Two. All 3 words sound exactly the same but mean different things. The easiest one is TWO which simply means 2. No further explanation needed.

TOO means "also", or "as well", as in "I have a red bike too."
"I have a red bike also"
"I have a red bike as well"
"I too have a red bike"
"I also have a red bike"

A second meaning of TOO is "excessive" as in something that is over abundant as in "You can never have too much money" Your dog is too fat"

TO suggests direction as in "I'm going to the movies" Use to when too and two wont work. To is by far the most used of the three.

A practice sentence.
Billy and I are going ____the park, we would like ____invite you___ but you're _____slow because you're carrying ____much weight the ____of us think so, however can I borrow____bucks til tomorrow?

It drives me nuts "TOO" when I see people in America (native English speaking) don't know the difference...

Actually made me check what “twit” means. Hence, a good lesson. thumbs up

Using English as the third language, I have difficulties with evaluating the power of a word, its emotional loading, so to say. Or possible effects.

So it would be very helpful with some kind of a scale. Where is “twit” comparing to “idiot” and “fool”? Could you order them, please? Say, next week.

By the way, is it “mini English” lessons or mini lessons in English?

grin
