venere08: Hi Imma, glad you got it all sorted...You might want to have swedish bitters on hand anyway(revolting taste though), but you need to make sure it's top quality or you could poison yoruself with too much camphor!...If you don't find the swedish bitters soon, try the German herbalist websites...

Or contact Hemmes Herbals in Adelaide, Australia....(Hilde Hemmes is trained as a herbalist originally from Germany). Her products are so pure. She is so approachable so yes, contact the company if you like. I think they can dispatch all over the world.

As an aside, I once chose to have root canal treatment with no drugs. Hate the stuff....the only one who was anxious was the dental surgeon.

I repeat:
shock shock shock shock

I will likely have nightmares based on that thought.

But thanks for the link Ven.

As an aside, I have a funny story. My two greatest fears in life are the dentist and wasps. I was at the dentist once, sitting in the chair and having work done, it was a relatively warm day - windows are open...you can see where this is going.

I am already in the throes of a anxiety-induced dental sweat when a wasp flies in through the window. I thought I would just have a heart attack and die.

Needless to say, everythink in the office came to a stop until the wasp was ejected from the room and all windows closed. sigh

immanuelle: Does anyone have any tried and tested natural remedies for managing tooth pain? Once again I have tooth troubles. I was at the docs today and have to wait until Friday until they fix my problem. In the land of incredible hedonistic high tolerance pain bearers, aka Holland, I was of course given minimal over-the-counter pain killers. They are crap. I am nervous the pain will increase over the next 3 days. The last time I went through this I ended up in the emergency ward at midnight begging for painkillers. After 2 hours of whining, they gave in to me and sent me on my way.

But would rather go the natural way now, as it is also more gentle on the stomach I think.

Any suggestions?

The best way to deal with tooth pain is to go to a dentist at once. If there’s difficult to get time at public health care, go to private. A brother of one of my good acquaintances died of sepsis while waiting for his time at dentist. He was 16 years old.

That is horrible! Very sorry to read that. I guess as with most medical issues: Early detection and treatment is best. When it comes to my teeth though I always just hope that the problem will just go away on it's own - not smart of me. My dentist's office is relatively good at a fast response and turnover.

A horrible event indeed, and the family regretted bitterly that they didn’t seek help at once, and that pain they are left to live with.

As to non-medicational pain treatment… You can imagine your pain as a badly sewn seam, loose it up, and then sew again tidy and evenly. Works for me against headache once a month. (Though I must say that aspirin is more effective.laugh ) Doesn’t work for pain in my back and feet, nor against headache caused by low atmosphere pressure. Never tried it with tooth pain… looks like I’m not a martyrish type.

Hi Tule wave

That was way too visual for me. I can meditate away some pains, but dang!, when it's in the tooth and feels like it is in the eye, nose and ear canals - that's just too much, just want to snap my head off.

Bottom line - pain sucks!
