Hi Life,

I was chatting with someone back and forth for the last 2 weeks and he kept on asking for my address (I think he wanted me to prove where I live). Of course I am not comfortable giving a stranger my address, I suggested meeting in a public place. From the content of his mail, I felt that despite our small exchanges of information he thought I was hiding something. Maybe I was just being paranoid. It was strange. But he just up and deleted his profile today so who knows....

Hi I

It is better to let someone go than to take any unnecessary risk.

It is good to check the person's profile and his friends, how long he has been here, his threads, what he has written about, his fans, etcc...then make a decision to pursue that communication or not.

I have given my personal e mail address to 4 people here, one man and 3 women and one of the ladies knows my personal address. We even have exchanged some postcards and some small presents both ways.

Take care girl!

Thanks Life.

It's funny though as most of the gentlemen in my neck of the woods don't join in the forum conversations. It would be nice as we can sort of see what a person is like (over time) by their comments, interests etc.

You are right. Better safe than sorry. It was just a bit annoying as there are so many who contact me whom I know are not genuine and I always give the benefit of the doubt and slug my way through the tedious badly-worded emails until I know for sure that there is deceit. So very ironic and unpleasant when someone doubted my intentions. Oh well, water under the bridge.

Have a lovely day Life. Hope the sun in shining for you.

Hugs,

Imma

Exchanging personal info we did it after months of talking on the forums and by CS-personal messages. Even so, we all have to take precaucions without going paranoic.
