Try the Sandbanks area south of Trenton on the east end of Lake Ontario. I found Sauble Beach kinda neat as you can (or could as they might have changed it) drive right onto the beach. The east side of Lake Simcoe is quite shallow for swimming and has a nice sandy bottom. There are many that I haven't been to but Ontario is full of nice beaches. Have fun.cheers

You will enjoy it. If you feel like going a little farther afield then I recommend the north shore of Prince Edward Island (Cavendish Beach) as it runs for miles. thumbs up

I am going with my daughter to Rockwood Conservation Area this summer. Last year we went and found out that you can go in the caves and tried to do a video but it was pitch black. This year we are bringing better lights and better video camera. I did not know that going through caves is called Spelunking...lol

This place is so cool, towering limestone cliffs, caves and glacial potholes, including one of the world's largest, are a few of the natural wonders at the Rockwood Conservation Area. You can view them from hiking trails on both sides of the Eramosa River.

The beaches here in Toronto aren't all that bad..whether here on the mainland or if you go over to the islands.

Sauble is usually better when you have kids... they stay between the shore and first sandbank, and the water is warmer there.

Grand Bend is good as well as Wasaga Beach.

I wouldn't go to any of the ones locally on Lake Erie.... you have to take a turd count before going in for a swim. wow laugh

long beach? Don't bother... suffocating nanny state rules and stupid bureaucracy... parking meters everywhere... signs everywhere with what you can do and cannot. If you see a bear they'll make you pay to look at it twice.

...it's not like it was in the 70's where you could actually camp on the beach amongst the driftwood.

The whole Tofino/LongBeach area is nothing but a schmaltzy overpriced ripoff. Breaky for two? Upwards of $35 in many restaurants.
