Um it depends on who will u fall in love with. In Thailand, be careful since those girls could be boys lol. And yeah women in this area may consider u to help out their families if u marry the poor one. With them, marry a foreigner guy is something to show off more than love. Be wise

even though our ways are different, I really respect the eastern value placed on family. I think they can put many westerners to shame on that topic. I have met many Thai and find them pretty much like anyone else...but for the greater value placed on family - it is admirable
but there is a great difference between taking good care of ones family members - a mutual responsibility for all - and being taken advantage of which is wrong and doesn't have to be accepted

You'll have to support and educate her bothers and sisters. You'll be a villain if you don't. You'll have to buy the family a house and it will be in her name. She will take it after she has taken everything from your bank account.

If you go on holidays and you fall in love with a person - fair enough and best of luck! If you get on with someone, nationality shouldn't be an issue.
But going deliberately to a far away country looking for a partner, or men/women from other cultures trying to attract someone to marry them from another region - I think first of all everyone involved should question why the other person is doing that.
