Milk 8 litter
natural yougurt 1 kg
Boiled the milk when it started coming up turn off fire and slowly put yougurt in it and stear it with somthing.Now water will get separated from cheese.Use thin cloth and a boul with holes.Put the cheese and water in it,water will be draind away,now press it with a heavy thing for two hour.Cheese will become harder,you can cut it in slicescheers

Thanks Jack68. I do want to make my own cheese but never seem to get around to it. Thank you for the recipe. It reminds me of one I came across in a cookbook I've had for years by Swami Sarasvati. Now I've had to go looklaugh...

OK..she adds fresh lemon juice, but the recipe is for cottage cheese and she says to leave it overnight or until the cheese is firm and compact.

Just curious...how much cheese from your recipe? Seems to be suited to a large family. I would have to reduce the quantities just a little.uh oh

venere08: Just curious...how much cheese from your recipe? Seems to be suited to a large family. I would have to reduce the quantities just a little.
I have nevever weight it because the cost goes to restuarant boss,you can use lemon juice or oxalic acid to lower the cost but not the real tasteprofessor
