Hi Rivernile

It depends what you intend or want to do ie work or just simply travel.

I have done a lot of travelling over the years and my one tip would be to contact a travel agent like USIT. You don't have to be a student. For me they organised flights, insurance, tours, accommodation at no extra cost. They can also offer lots of advice particularly in the area of work. Maybe give them a call or check out their website. They were also great once I was abroad I was able to call for advice etc.

Tel 01 6021906

Would also suggest going to the library and checking out travel guides such as the lonely planet etc.

The following websites offer tours in countries all around the world, while you may not want to do a tour it gives you an idea what is worth seeing in each country places to visit things to do.

If you do want to do any of their tours USIT can book these on your behalf.

Good luck

think it all depends on what u wanna get out of it..

if u wanna go somewhere and drink with a loads irish people and speak english and not learn much about diverse cultures..well canada and australia n new zealand are prob the way to go..

if u wanna learn more about society and humans and see mental stuff..theres plenty of the rest of the world.

Totally agree with fifi I have travelled Thailand, India, Africa and South America and if you want something totally different they are worth considering (besides why go all away across the world to experience something you can get here???)...as I already said USIT can really help if you are planning on visiting places like this re hostels...jobs...visas etc...and tours can be great because you have a local leader who can give you loads of advice tips and help with any language barriers plus its a great way to meet other travellers like yourself....big world out there go out see and experience as much as you can is the best advice...enjoy ya lucky devil!!!
