No, not a hobby. In the summertime it was cool to get a bunch of folks together and go floating down the river on inner tubes. We would all drink too much, fall in the river and have to swim back to the inner tubes. No ferry...

I swam the Knik River in Alaska- just before it completely froze over for the winter! We Alaskan gals are tough!

I've lost track of the rivers I've swum in.The Susquehana, Delaware, Oswego, Oneida,and Senaca around here. A couple rivers I never knew the name of in Viet Nam. Some river in germany that I don't remember the name of, an all over eastern US.
