I usually do too, but there are things like heroin, base jumping, and marriage that I don't need to try to know it's not for me. laugh

Papermate: Or spinster-hood? Need some propositions. Any suggestions?

a happy medium?

I am not as negative about marriage as some on here as I have witnessed some wonderful marriages

but because of my experience of being sold out in a marriage by my ex COMPARED to the good marriages on my side of the family .... (nearly everyone on his side is divorced - some multiple times) - it would take someone pretty special, stable and genuine to convince me to marry againheart wings

Argh marriage.....I couldn't think of anything worse....

After my experiences I'll never walk down the isle, just not something I'll ever consider

Think I'll be a bachelor for life!

I don't see any benefits in the whole institution of marriage now, esp in Australia where things are so against the males in every aspect, there is no real gain at all, but a potential gain for the women.....so much for equality

violin

marriage should not be viewed as soemthing where someone gains and someone loses

and I do not say this lightly because my ex raked me over the coals. despite that I do not think a person should marry if they are viewing the relationship in terms of what will/can happen when it is over

but I come from a family where all but 1 or 2 couples in my family married for life - so I have seen it work well & know it can

so my feeling is a little old fashion I guess - I think - don't do it unless you know it's for life...

I know it's the wrong way to look at it, but there are a lot of scammers out there in Australia, a lot of the women just want to screw a bloke over whether its marriage or having kids....

There is a major problem with laziness and lack of morals and ethics in my age group unfortuantely

Marriage is the main cause for separation and divorce.
