It's not religious faith for the most part that causes wars be they muslim,christian,jew it's the evil in man's heart through greed ( you have something I want and I will kill you to get it if I have to ) or a belief that I one nation or people are superior to another.A world without religion would be even darker than it is now for Christians,muslims,jews,Hindu,Sikh,Buddhist etc do wonderful things in the world acts of kindness in times of disaster and helping to bring peace in all parts of the world,building schools and orphanages,providing medical care,food,homes etc etc !Im not saying that people of no faith in a God or gods don't also do may acts of kindness because they do but people of faith are motivated to bring love to a dying world and spread the love of God because they are instructed to in the bible and Koran its part of faith.

Answer: They contain the "I'm right" & "You're wrong" mentality.
Personally, I would rather strive for HAPPY and not give a toss bout who is right or who is wrong which always equals "CONFLICT"

In an ideal world there wouldn't be any need for religion. Unfortunately not everyone has their own moral compass ... or has not been calibrated .. lol.
Religion, through fear of divine consequences, at least keeps the vast majority on the straight and narrow. Shame we have all the other crap associated with organized religion ... politics, power, distortion of teachings and hierarchy.
Personally I don't need or want religion, but I am happy for people to have the choice as long as it doesn't impact on me.

No your problems would still exist you'd just have to work it for yourself instead of relying on some supernatural force to do it. Also you'll be able to see people for what they are rather than them being able to hide behind a cloak of pious garbage

There is no question that religion has been a huge contributor to violence since recorded time, but truthfully, it's not been the only one. The acquisition of land and wealth as well as ideas and politics have contributed as well. Without religion I think there would be less violence, but it does not account for all.
