"Can we go to science to find the answer? If the spirit world exists, it would be, by its very nature, not composed of matter or atoms. A dictionary definition of spirit is "a supernatural being or essence." And the scientific community has little to say about things that can't be seen under a microscope or through a telescope or that can't be examined in a laboratory. I read the book "Journey of the Souls" and found it very enlightening....
Shamanism ( /'???m?n/ shah-m?n or /'?e?m?n/ shay-m?n) is a term used in a variety of anthropological, historical and popular contexts to refer to certain magico-religious practices that involve a practitioner reaching altered states of consciousness in order to encounter and interact with the spirit world. A shaman is a person regarded as having access to, and influence in, the world of benevolent and malevolent spirits, who typically enters a trance state during a ritual, and practices divination and healing.

No I don't because there is no verifiable proof or evidence of such. I did believe until I was no longer under the influence of my parents or the Church. I now believe that the definitive truth of reality is to be found in the works of Darwin, Einstein and Hawkins. This is an ongoing quest for me.
According to my way of reasoning, there must be in an existence : Mind & Matter, everything else is just pure reflexion of those two realities.

Thank you Gleneagle .... But I thinking of our guides that are said to be at our side ...
I understand where you coming from ... I was born into a Hindu home .. My parents weren't very religious though ... But in my 20's I decided on my own to find out more about Hinduism .... Then I got married to a Christian guy who had a staunch Christian family .... And they practically bible bashed me into Christianity ... But my marriage only lasted a few years ... And when I got divorced I didn't want to stay a Christian as I didn't know much.. And I didn't want to go back to Hinduism as I hadn't learnt everything .. Then my dad died soon after and it left me very depressed ... And someone told me to read the book "journey of the souls" and it gave me a different view on life an spirituality ..... Spirituality doesn't always mean religion .....

spiritualists mostly arent governed by any religion.. they do however study a lot of theories and ideas and form their own path.
when practising a faith takes over a life instead of a life absorbed and guided by its teachings, is when it makes it more about obedience than understanding.
sometimes i think people just have to keep saying it over and over to believe it.
i lived with a spiritual man for 12 years..a spiritual medium as such and ive read and listened to many theories on the subject.
and yes..the spirit world exists..for those who want it to.

Hi AgentAjax ... Thank you for your comment .... So have you ever tried it not being pissed off for eternity but tried to take your consciousness beyond your body ? Like meditation for instance?

Hi thank your contribution .... I believe I needed it more in the pass decade than I did as a child ... But I guess it there for everyone when the need arises ....

My childhood faith (spiritualism) is with me daily, like any religion. I believe and act upon it and always try to do the same as any other religion abides me to do. My Christian daughter now understands my faith and she gives me grace.
