I do recall a visit or 2 to Melbourne in the very late 60s. Wasn't very lively then. Oops, there was Broadmeadows Town Hall on a Saturday night with Billy Thorpe. Yes, there was some life.
70s was much better with the Broadmeadows International Hotel. And everything was closed on a Sunday.
Had to queue for hours if you wanted to see a footy game. So much better now as half the seats are vacant.
