It's a mystery to me, too. Yet, there are countless stories of people meeting, getting married right away, and it lasts 60 or 70 years. There's just no rhyme or reason to it--and other times a couple can know each other 5 or 6 or more years before marrying, and in less than a year can't stand each other. I think unconditional love is probably it.
Trouble is most of us attach conditions to our loving a partner: he/she must do or not do this or that or I´ll take my love elsewhere. End of "true" love!!
Not many of us are capable of loving "just because" and not attaching ANY conditions to it when it comes to couple relationships.
